Our Doulas offer knowledge, kindness, and comfort before, during, and after childbirth.  We have experience in a wide variety of birth types including unmedicated and medicated, VBAC, multiples, vaginal and cesarean.  Our Doulas have assisted clients at a range of hospitals/birth centers and are willing to support home births as well.  Typically two to three clients are taken by each Doula per month.

Would you like to meet the Doulas?  Attend the next “Coffee Hour” where potential clients and current clients can meet the Doulas associated with DoulaSpirit and find out more about our services.

Heather Rohde - Founder

Heather was trained to be a Birth Doula by DONA International in March 2008. She has completed all requirements and her certification is pending with DONA (expected 04/2009).  Heather has also worked as a Postpartum Doula and a breastfeeding consultant.  She hopes to become certified for both in the near future.  In addition to founding DoulaSpirit, Heather volunteers as a Birth Doula at MetroHealth Hospital, is a member of DONA International and The Doula Network of Northeast Ohio, and is the active mother of two little ones.

Heather has served numerous families as a Birth Doula and Postpartum Doula.  First time parents or seasoned, multiples or singletons, birth or postpartum, Heather is excited to support families during this special time in their lives.  Providing strength and encouragement for mothers during the journey of childbirth and after brings her great joy and fulfillment.

 Noa Gopstein, CD(DONA) - Partner

Noa is a certified Birth Doula through DONA International and has been serving clients since June 2008.  In addition to private clients, Noa also works as a Birth Doula at MetroHealth Hospital, is a member of DONA International, and is the mother of three beautiful girls.  Noa has a wide variety of experience but is an expert in handling the added difficulties that come with teenage pregnancy.

Noa feels very grateful and fortunate to have found her calling in life.  It is an absolute honor to witness and help a woman and her loved ones through labor and birth, which is such a powerful and trans-formative process.  Noa thrives on being there to “mother the mother”, and in doing so, she feels complete.  Noa loves being a Doula!
